New Bread Clubs in Brighton & Hastings

We are helping to set up new Bread Clubs in Hastings and in Brighton. Our aim is to help local people to make bread which is better for us, communities and the planet. The long term aim of this initiative is to empower local people to create community owned clubs which make and supply affordable, Real Bread.

In Hastings, we are running the bread club in partnership with Moose’s Kitchen

In Brighton we’ve got together with Brighton Aldridge Academy

The Lewes Bread Club runs regular workshops and community bakes at the Lewes Community Kitchen.

Real Bread is made with simple, natural ingredients, proven over many centuries to be a beneficial part of the human diet. Real bread is by definition made only with flour, water, yeast and salt. It is made without the use of processing aids has no artificial additives. Making Real Bread is also a fun, nourishing and rewarding activity which helps improve general cookery skills and builds self-confidence.

Thanks to funding from Chances4Change we have been able to successfully develop and pilot Bread Club Training and will now be adding it to our portfolio of services.
